Our Kitten: Our Journey to a Happy Home thanks to Pawprint Association Day 2

Very timid and wary of both of us, our new addition spent most of the day hiding behind the sofa - but today is a different day altogether.
After teasing her out with some food, ever so slowing she appeared from her safe place, peaking around the edge of the sofa, stretching her neck so she could see if there were any dangers. It wasn't until that point that I really noticed just how beautiful she is.

Striking, delicate, feline femininity if ever I saw it. I love her so much already. Meet Becks, a play on words from my husband, the avid Manchester United Supporter. Her new name suits her, feminine in nature, yet 'striking' in her agility. She moves so very quickly from one safe place to another, seemingly enjoying the deep corners of our lounge most.
When the natural daylight dissipated and our lamps went on, Becks seemed to come to life. She started to strut around eyeing up her new abode. We watched as she explored her surroundings, but still couldn't get very close to her without her running into the smallest nooks and crannies of our space.
We were still very mindful of keeping dogs and kitten separate for the time being as advised by the lovely Charlie at Pawprint Association . So my husband took the dogs into his man-cave to watch the footie whilst I made a brew. But when I returned to the lounge, I couldn't see her, I looked frantically around thinking that a door had been left open and she had escaped. I called hubby back in to help me find her, I was panicking big time.
Becks had found the smallest space imaginable at the back of my writing desk. And was sleeping soundly. What a relief!
Day 2
The next morning, still mindful to keep the cat safe and separate from the dogs, I had no option but to put the dogs into our bedroom when I got up, covering my hubby with kisses (from the dogs not me). The kitten was in its safe place but had obviously explored some more during the night, my writing desk, and the sideboard being an attraction to Becks. When my hubby arose, he put the dogs outside on the front porch, their usual morning ritual whilst I started my usual morning ritual of writing.
I noticed Becks on her hind legs watching the two dogs on the porch. And when Fergie (another of my hubby's name choices) noticed her, they were nose to nose through the glass pane of my patio doors. Each one of them wanting to meet each other.
We decided that it was best for them to become acquainted so my husband put a lead on Fergie and brought him into the lounge. To my surprise , after they sniffed each other (mainly around the nether regions), the kitten seemed to want to befriend Fergie, who was followed around the lounge wherever he went. Becks purring like a fast sports car. Cuddled up together and everything. Success. All whilst the bigger of our two dogs was oblivious outside. How will they get on?

I'll save that one for Day 3!
