A little recap.

After deciding to adopt a rescue kitten from Pawprint Association, we spent the first day trying to coax her from the back of the sofa. Very timid and wary of us both so we kept her separate from the two dogs that we already have.

The next morning, we had little choice but to introduce Becks to Fergie (the small dog) as they had seen each other nose to nose through the patio door.

The next and final stage was to introduce her to Poppy, our Tibetan Terrier.

Poppy, has not had a haircut since last summer and she looks a bit like Tina Turner at the moment so it took her a while to see through her fringe that something wasn't quite right. After a few moments, she caught sight of the kitten and was a little stunned initially, but wanted to go over and smell her, which we did after putting her on a lead. Poppy towered about the little kitten and I was worried that this was intimidating to Becks. But no, very soon, Becks was rubbing her back against Poppy's undercarriage, walking through her legs and licking her feet, literally. Phew, that was a relief.

You must understand that both Poppy and Fergie spend quite a bit of time sitting on chairs on the porch outside, but yesterday, neither of them wanted to go outside, neither of them slept in their beds much during the day and both seemed to be quite happy staying with Becks.

That said, in the evening, again when the natural light dissipated, Becks became very playful and her two new friends watched as she made us giggle with her playful antics. Hubby's slippers seemed to be more of an attraction than the toys we had bought.

By the end of the evening, it felt like a fully integrated family of furry friends. In fact, we took this picture below and as you can see, its difficult to see where one fur baby starts and the others finish.

Becks has now completed our 'family'.

The work that Pawprint Association is not for profit and they survive only on donations from the public. I realise that not everyone is able to adopt a kitten into their family, but a small donation would really help them to continue with this great work. If you would like to either adopt or make a donation contact Charlie Williamson from Pawprint on FB messenger. You will find Pawprint on Facebook or online Pawprintasso.com
